Hon. Franck Verlynde is a highly respected international consultant with a strong reputation in sustainable development and cross-sector collaboration. Originally from Madagascar, he has built a distinguished career facilitating impactful partnerships between governments, development institutions, and private enterprises around the world.

In his role as Director of International Partnerships & Sustainable Development for the Akurulo Project, Hon. Verlynde brings decades of global experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable urban planning. He plays a key leadership role in driving the project’s vision to build resilient communities, empower vulnerable populations, and champion environmentally responsible growth across Africa.

Hon. Verlynde currently serves as:

• Trustee of the Umole Foundation, advancing positive impact initiatives across the continent,

• Trustee of the Happy Africa Foundation, focused on promoting development and joy in underserved regions,

• Liaison for Sustainable Cities Projects, where he supports global efforts to create greener, smarter urban environments,

• Liaison with Global Construction Companies, bridging critical relationships between industry leaders and public sector stakeholders.
