He is distinguished legal practitioner with over 17 years of experience in civil and criminal litigation, corporate law, arbitration, and legal advisory. As Senior Partner at Don Akaegbu & Company, he has consistently provided expert counsel to individuals, corporations, and public interest entities. A strong advocate for justice and human rights, he is also active in legal reform, community engagement, and public legal education through media.
He holds multiple degrees in law, including a Diploma (DIL) and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Benin, a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Lagos State University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law. Dr. Akaegbu is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and a partner in the Lagos State Public Interest Law Partnership.
His work in arbitration, public interest law, and scholarly publications on human rights and legal reform underscore his commitment to advancing legal frameworks that support sustainable development.
